Sample Singapore’s Calligraphy (and a Spirit or Two) in Upcoming Without Within 3

Last time we saw Without Within 3's protagonist, down-on-luck aspiring calligrapher Vinty, she was on a trip to Melbourne in Without Within 2, hoping to meet her idol. Well... a lot happened, and while not all of it good, she has not given up on her dream (go Vinty!) just yet. And as fate would have it, in this third outing, a mysterious letter - more or less - leads her to Singapore, kicking off an adventure with a bit of a supernatural twist. Spooky!

The Last Birdling Spins a Tale of Friendship Torn Apart by Racial Differences

Why humans and Birdlings can't just get along is beyond me, but in The Last Birdling, humans are to be killed on sight by Birdlings. Doesn't matter who you are or how you feel about the whole thing, because that's just how it is. And this is also where things get complicated for Bimonia, one of few remaining Birdlings, as she one day, of all things, ends up becoming friends with Tayo, a human! Logic dictates that Bimonia should simply kill Tayo, no matter the cost. But instead the two decide to take on the world, tradition, warring races, and all that, be damned. Groovy? Hell yeah!

Let’s Get It Kickstarted: Nostalgia: Two Worlds | One Soul

Generally speaking, kidnapping children and forcing them to partake in some crazy experiment - Project Nostalgia in this case - is a pretty bad idea, but throw in the fact that its purpose was to confirm the existence of an alternate reality, and you've got another thing coming. Or several rather, seeing how a lot of its (now former) test subjects are hungry for some payback in Nostalgia: Two Worlds | One soul. Also, something something counterparts from said reality. Oh my.

Without Within Review: The Art of Calligraphy

While most artists have little in common, their goal doesn't really differ, in that they all want to be appreciated for their creation(s) on some level. Vinty, the protagonist in Without Within, is no different, and... well, she's having a hard time getting noticed. Doesn't help that her choice of craft is calligraphy either, as this is, quite frankly, a niche hobby.

Fate Manipulation, a Gift? Not Quite the Case In the Visual Novel, Cursed Sight

Ever wonder what it would be like to control fate? Probably pretty neat, eh? Well, in Miyon's case, it's nothing but trouble, as her ability is likely to be used in the war brewing between East and West Taria. On top of that, Gai, a new servant, seems to do naught but annoy her, no matter what he does. Poor guy. At this rate, a war could easily ignite inside the palace walls too! Cursed Sight indeed.

Unhack:Destruction Review: the Bittersweet Unhack Prequel

Before Unhack, there was Unhack:Destruction. No Weedy, no Unhacker. Instead, you'll be dealing with the team of A², her overprotective sister, Proto A, and Mrs. Director, their faceless superior. One thing that hasn't changed during this trip into the distant past is the 5K Worm threat, as it is very much an issue here too. One you'll have to deal with in the usual puzzle x visual novel style, by… unhacking!

Lucky Number Seventeen For This Batch of Greenlight Escapees

Not gonna lie, I wasn't really planning on publishing another one of these already. But when I glanced at my list the other day and saw no less than seventeen escapees, figured, why not? Even more so, since Valve stopped posting announcements themselves for some reason, leaving most users completely obvlivious until a game pops up on the store. And even then, they don't always say "made it through Greenlight, thanks guys!" for some reason. They really should, ya know? It's kinda like a badge of honor. Kinda.

Free Visual Novel Without Within Arrives On Steam With Groovy Extras

At this point, all sorts of visual novels are available on Steam, no doubt about that. But what makes this one stand out for me, is the premise: Vinty - its protagonist - is… a calligraphist! So far so good (and different), right? Well, problem is, she's got a bad case of broken self-confidence. Really bad. As such, your job is to help motivate her to further her craft, instead of, well, giving up. Because no one likes a quitter.

Unhack Review: Puzzle Turned Visual Novel With Chatty AIs

What should have been just another day on the job for Weedy and Unhacker (the protagonist), quickly escalates to nightmarish proportions since an entity known as the 5K Worm has managed to invade computers all over the world. But who could possibly be behind this digital threat, and why would anyone create such a thing? As an employee of Smash Security, it's your job to take care of it.

Explore the Human Psyche In the Out-of-Body Experience of Unit 44

War. War never changes. Neither does mankind, much as I'd love to think otherwise. We'll always be driven by our needs, fueled by our desires. This can be both good and bad, especially when science is part of the equation, as is the case in Unit 44. As the disembodied version of Jonathan, an Allied soldier, it's your duty to figure out how you ended up in this lab, and exactly what is going on.
