Oh, the horror. The horror! That’s right, Clea 2 is finally upon us, and something tells me this eerie sequel will be every bit as scary as its precursor from 2019. That also holds true for reliance on player skill, planning, and… a lack of jump scares.
All that said… let’s hear it for Florine, Clea 2‘s protagonist, a former maid who, come hell and high waters, is determined to resurrect ‘the person who means everything to her’. So, necromancy. We’re off to a fantastic start because surely nothing ever goes wrong when that kind of content is the focus of a story. Nope. I’m sure everything will be fine.
Except the journey required to complete her task involves a trip past the third dimension, a place where otherworldly horrors await. Yeah, everything is definitely not awesome (for Florine, anyway), and to make matters worse, said horrors have an uncanny ability when it comes to picking up noise. Better tread carefully as Florine is moved around these dark halls, for there shall be no parlay upon capture, nor shall there be any mercy.
Four years have passed since the Whitlock Mansion tragedy. Florine, a former maid, is determined to resurrect the person who means everything to her.
Ain’t over once the credits roll either, if you want the full experience, as multiple endings await those brave enough for a second (or third, or fourth) trip, as well as unlockable costumes, galleries, and even an arcade feature. So crank up the volume, turn off the lights, put on a pair of headphones, and enjoy the fully voiced cut-scenes and sinister sounds of ghastly ghouls, as you attempt to survive a journey through Clea 2.
Clea 2 is available on Steam, Switch, and Xbox One, carrying a $14.99 price tag ($11.99 during launch week).
