This time the spotlight will be shining on Magnetized, a tough-as-nails one-button dodger. Let’s see if we can’t help it escape the cold emptiness of Greenlight limbo, eh?
A black square, from nowhere, never stop and never quit, seems to magnetized by something great. Crush, die, one more try, round and round and by and by, till the end of the time. Chasing dreams is like walking alone on an endless road, Sometimes we succeed but most we failed. direction is so clear but way to long, trying so hard but no one knows. Is it worth it anymore?
Maybe, but for who? The player? The black square? Both? Having played the iOS version quite a bit, I’d say ‘both’ for sure. That is if one can handle the high level of difficulty on offer. One button controls the protagonist in a slingshot-y way, with any and all collisions resulting in failure. Simple as that, except not really. Twists and turns along the way ensure that you won’t survive those mazelike corridors without practice (and plenty of it). Its stylish visuals and funky soundtrack help complete the Magnetized experience, putting together proper “just one more go… maybe I’ll nail it this time” gameplay. The kind so few games provide these days.
So riddle me this, dear reader: why is Magnetized still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s not available for Windows (or Mac or Linux) just yet, but an iOS (iTunes) and Android version (Google Play) does exist, and the dev’s working on an improved version for the desktop release. As such, might I recommend visiting its Greenlight page and handing over a ‘yes’, if you like what you see? Remember, your vote matters!
