For those wondering why this edition is a week late, well, I’ve been trying to come up with some way to restructure it… in light of Valve’s recent idiocy. I’m sure you’ve heard how they “decided that the right approach is to allow everything onto the Steam Store, except for things that we decide are illegal, or straight up trolling“. Unfortunately, the best I could come up with was to continue the way I always have (and focus on potentially great new Steam releases alongside Not Enough Steam Reviews!, now more than ever). That said, the show must go on, so here we go!
As always, no Early Access, no Virtual Reality – what else? Oh, and less than 10 user reviews on the day I go through the lot (which is also when this article is published). May seem odd, but if your game hasn’t broken into double-digit review numbers after six months, something’s wrong. Somewhere. Anyway, my pick(s) are as follows…
Boot Hill Bounties ($12.99)
I’m honestly surprised that something like this hasn’t garnered more attention, seeing how everyone is always asking for more proper Western-themed titles. This definitely seems to be, what with its groovy pixel art, ‘group of would-be heroes against group of clearly defined outlaws’ plot and a funky turn-based combat system. What’s not to like? Why is this only sitting at six reviews at the time of writing? Wild… wild… west!
