It’s a fact that many Steam users don’t check or even notice most Greenlight additions. There are simply too many, making it rather time-consuming. Hoping to alleviate this problem somewhat, I bring you The Greenlight Groove, featuring my recommendations from the past week!
Keep in mind that those listed below are by no means the only new arrivals, simply those I gave my ‘yes’ vote. With that in mind, would you kindly help make sure none end up as a potential Stuck In Greenlight Limbo candidate, by voting? Oh and do provide their creators with feedback. I’m sure they’ll appreciate anything, as long as it’s expressed properly (please, be nice).
Ancient Planet
In the story, a planet, home to the remnants of the once powerful galactic civilization was attacked by a young and daring race from the Hamal system under the pretext of bringing more freedom to the planet. Their main goal is acquiring ancient technologies which are stored in fortified settlements or bases. You will find out more about this war from the games participants—2 ordinary Hamalian soldiers sent to die for their Homeland.
Alien Blitz (@haedri)
Alien Blitz is a 3d action-shooter inspired by Doom with lots of bullets, weapons, maps and monsters. You play a soldier resting on his native island, but it is quickly overrun by monsters from outer space and no outside help is available. You put on your mecha armor, take your shotgun and go to find out what happened at the peril of your life.
Reckpunk (@dlan_fr)
Reckpunk is a platformer where you destroy obstacles and move level elements directly using your mouse, rather than controlling the main characters. Even though the characters move by themselves, you can push them, use blocks to slow them down, and bring them in inaccessible places.
Rainbow Hero (@PixelElephant)
Rainbow Hero is a clever 2D puzzle game where levels may seem impossible at first glance but ingeniously simple when you’ve figured it out. The rules are simple yet each challenge will require thoughtful solutions.
bit Dungeon II (@KintoGames)
bitDungeon II is fast action roguelike game with a giant overworld to explore. Inspired by some of my favorite games Zelda, Diablo, Dark Souls. You are a spirit in an undead world of demons. Your “loved one’s ” grave has been desecrated. Fight through these corrupted lands, and bring peace to her soul.
Savage Self-Defeat (@dapperswine)
Take the SHA through test chambers and strange locales, mount traps on hard points, and see if you can dial up the agony and keep it going for as long as possible before it explodes into an impossible mess of limbs and funny-looking hats. In Savage Self-Defeat, the world is your oyster as long as you don’t mind the world being slightly boxed in or the fact that there are no oysters (that you know of!).
Orcish Inn (@StevenColling)
Orcish Inn is an orc tavern simulation game. You raise crops, brew beer, create your tavern and serve your orcish guests. My name is Steven Colling, I’m from Germany and I create this game on my own with the help of Tilmann ‘headchant’ Hars, who is responsible for sound effects and music. I enjoyed farming and business simulation games as I was a child and I want to share my passion for calm and deep, strategical experiences.
H. P. Lovecraft’s The Case of Charles Dexter Ward (@Senscape)
The Case of Charles Dexter Ward invites you to explore mystery-laden Providence and uncover its enchanting secrets, research ancient history of witchcraft and occultism in shadow-blighted Salem, and sneak into an eerie Pawtuxet farm to meet unspeakable horrors lurking underneath in one of the most memorable sequences in Lovecraft’s oeuvre.
Gelluloid Pro: Micro War Strategy (@tractorsetgo)
Welcome to project Gelluloid, doctor! Challenge yourself and prove your tactics skills in this fast-paced, action-strategy game. Join the Gelluloid science lab. Declare war to viruses and fight off gel opponents in microscopic battles!
Last Refuge (@ToasterSquirrel)
Explore, craft and fight your way through this Multiplayer RPG Platformer. Last Refuge is a game of exploration and adventure, uncovering the world below while you fight and loot hordes of monsters. Return to your base of operations with your spoils from the surface to craft the means of delving deeper! With a ton of weapons, armour, and skills, players have an arsenal of options to uncover the secrets of Ratosk.
Curtain
Curtain is a first person narrative that deals with a complex but abusive relationship. Explore the game and piece together the story from what you find: diaries, newspapers, text messages. At the same time an ever present narrator watches and comments on every thought, and the player is coercively subsumed into their world.
