[Update: Greenlit] Stuck In Greenlight Limbo: ‘Starsss – The Star-Chasing Roguelite Platformer’

[Update: Greenlit] Stuck In Greenlight Limbo: ‘Starsss – The Star-Chasing Roguelite Platformer’

This time the spotlight will be shining on Starsss – The Star-Chasing Roguelite Platformer, a starchaser (no, really)! So… what say we help it escape the cold emptiness of Greenlight limbo?

What if you woke up one day and you became a pixel art character? Go on a star-chasing adventure to search for the legendary Star of Records to find out what happened!

See? Starchaser! Wasn’t kidding. Turning into a pixel art character is not exactly high on my list of things I want to accomplish though, no matter how stylish its appearance. Or is it? There are likely fun times to be had in this game, after all, what with its ‘wacky’ enemies and procedurally generated stages. Fun and deadly of course, but would I really have it any other way? Doubtful! Oh and something something Star of Records…

So riddle me this, dear reader: why is Starsss – The Star-Chasing Roguelite Platformer still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s out, albeit in alpha, so availability’s not exactly what’s keeping it in limbo. As such, how about visiting its Greenlight page and handing over a ‘yes’, if you like what you see? Remember, your vote matters!

Wraithkal

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
