This time the spotlight will be shining on sphereFACE, which is essentially Asteroids… in a sphere. No, really! Let’s help it escape the cold emptiness of Greenlight limbo, eh?
An unashamedly abstract shooter that ranges from slow, strategic sniping to frantic fast-paced rock-dodging action, with roguelike elements of exploration, progression, discovery and sudden death!
Show of hands, who hasn’t dreamt of playing a game like that? What do you mean, “I never even imagined something like this could exist”? For shame! Asteroids‘ rock-shattering gameplay mixed with a wide variety of different guns, all of which determine exactly how, when and where additional debris will be created, is a match made in heaven, as far as I’m concerned. Oh, did I mention that a hit from even the tiniest little fragment will be lethal? Best be quick about getting those obstacles blown away to clear a path to a noticeably less frantic field if you plan on lasting long in this crazy world/universe/whatever it is.
So riddle me this, dear reader: why is sphereFACE still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s not out just yet, but should be this fall. Even so, how about visiting its Greenlight page and handing over a ‘yes’ if you like what you see? Remember, your vote matters!
