This time the spotlight will be shining on Double Death, a rather explosive (as seen above) title which pits you… against the undead horde, because why not? Let’s help it escape the cold, lonely emptiness of Greenlight limbo!
Double Death is a crazy arcade brawler & shoot’em up with the heart of soul of those over the top 90’s beat’em up games with the flair of modern survival and squad-based games. You like beating the (un)living crap out of zombies with 9 different guns and over 2300 different weapon attachment combinations?
Well duh? Was a bit “meh” at the prospect of nine meagre guns, but then I saw the combination possibilities. Yup. Count me in. I’ll gladly take a shot (get it?) at fending off this particular zombie apocalypse. Also, on-screen damage numbers. Awesome. Where do I sign up? Seriously though– oh wait, that was actually me being serious. But really, what’s not to like here? Zombies, over-the-top arcade blasting, a handful of guns that can be tweaked and customized more than most would ever have the desire to do, and… multiplayer! Fending off the undead alone is usually a pretty terrible idea, as other games, comics and the like have shown in recent years. Just saying. Something something dangerous to go alone.
So riddle me this, dear reader: why is Double Death still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s not out just yet, save for an alpha demo. Even so, how about visiting its Greenlight page and handing over a ‘yes’ if you like what you see? Remember: your vote could make all the difference!
