Acting can be a challenging career choice. Lots of ups and downs. Few have to deal with a supernatural mystery at the theater though, and in The Last Act, unless Sarah manages to figure out just what is happening, and soon… opening night (and her big break) is in big trouble. Cancelled, even!
But the show must go on, as they say. Perhaps with the help of Gavin (sultry detective), Joshua (sceptical co-star), and Silas (friendly ghost) everything will turn out perfectly fine once the credits roll on this visual novel. Oh, and depending on choices made, love just might bloom for Sarah, along the way. A supernatural mystery solved, a career-changing performance, and romance? Possible, but again, this one does include multiple endings, so yeah – don’t get your hopes up.
She finally lands her big break, but then disturbing supernatural incidents start happening around the theater. All she wanted was a smashing opening night, but instead she might be breaking a leg… LITERALLY.
It is billed as a ‘mysterious tale of heartbreak, romance, and supernatural events’ after all, and who’s to say what Silas might be up to, or exactly what that ‘dark truth of the theater’ is all about? A lot can happen within a tale spanning 35,000 words, and chances are every character comes with at least one big bad secret, just waiting to be uncovered (for better or worse).
Although with so much going on, it might be difficult to focus on the main thing: to solve the mystery haunting the theater. Which kinda makes me wonder if it’s possible to more or less ignore that part and just go full speed down a path to romance one of the three potential prospects. One way to find out, even if it does end up being… The Last Act.
