For most, weekends mean two days off work with some much-needed R&R. But for game developers, it’s a time during which they get to show off what they’ve been working on. I am of course referring to Screenshot Saturday, which involves tweeting screenshots with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag; some of which I will be critiquing every Tuesday, in Speculating Screenshots.
Chasm (@DiscordGames)
Some solid advice right there. Also, surely I’m not the only one who’s genuinely excited about this upcoming platformer?
0RBITALIS (@AlanZucconi)
While I’m not entirely certain as to what’s going on there, I do like games with level editors, however odd that may seem. And hey, planets!
Blitz Breaker (@blekdar)“Fast paced”? Got that right, but boy does it ever look interesting. Interesting and… tricky. How’s he controlling the action with “just one thumb”? Peculiar.
Steel Assault (@SteelAssault)
Wow. Like a trip back in time to my youth, and not with some silly wannabe retro-styled game either – this looks almost too much like the 8-bit classics. Almost, but this one’s got just the right amount for it to be… groovy.
Master Spy (@kristruitt)
Speaking of old-school, have you played the Master Spy demo yet? If not, then by all means, get to it! This is the final screenshot after all, and ya better believe… stealthy action games don’t get much better (or trickier) than this one.
