Speculating Screenshots (3rd June 2017)

For most, weekends means two days off work with some much-needed R&R. But for game developers, it’s also a time during which they get to show off what they’ve been working on. I am of course referring to Screenshot Saturday, which involves tweeting screenshots with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. Screenshots which I will be critiquing some of every single Tuesday, in Speculating Screenshots.

Talk about painful lessons!

I agree. Where’s the villain?

Not sure if I’m more intrigued or freaked out.

What if I told you the game I'm working on right now involved shooting cans and being yelled at by old men? #screenshotsaturday #indiedev pic.twitter.com/e4Ly1gVbUP

Wraithkal

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
