Thousands of years ago, the AI god and caretaker of the solar system, Grace, was shut down. But why, and by whom? Well, depending on the outcome of space archaeologist Adie Ito’s most recent expedition, we just might soon come to know exactly what happened as this sci-fi tale attempts a Return to Grace.
It’s not simply a matter of venturing from point A to B, and bringing home some technical gizmo or other, however, as Grace’s ancient resting place is now inhabited by fracture variations of the once-mighty AI – each with their own personalities and motives! Who can she trust, or rather, who will she choose to trust?
Return to Grace is a first person narrative adventure set in a visually stunning ‘60s retro sci-fi world.
See, in Return to Grace, player choices affect more than just story branching, as character relationships and even the conclusion can vary depending on what you do (or don’t). Something that could potentially add some replayability to what is supposedly otherwise a relatively short experience, being an “evening sized game”, according to its creator.
Oh, and how about the prospect of hacking ancient computer systems, operating a flamethrowing jetpack, or traversing harrowing balance beams, to further sweeten the deal? I certainly wouldn’t mind stepping into the shoes of Adie Ito, for a chance at an adventure like this one.
Return to Grace is available on Steam and Epic Games Store, for $14.99.
