They say that in space, no one can hear you scream. While I do not know if, strictly speaking, Lost in Sky: Insurrection takes place in space… well, you better pray no one can hear you scream because otherwise, your partner might have a thing or two to say about it. See, you’re never by your lonesome in this mutant-slaying business, and to succeed, you’ll need to figure out how to best utilize both characters – in tandem!
Exactly why you are squashing these hordes of monsters I do not know. Actually, I do, but it’s a rather simple affair: you’re tasked with defending the City – the core of an important spaceship. That said, let’s face it, many players require little if any context, so long as they get to rip and tear. For which there’ll be plenty of opportunities. Glorious.
As always during experiences that carry the ever-popular ‘metroidvania’ tag, there’ll be more to do than simply kick you-know-what and take names. Puzzles! Secrets! A labyrinthine spaceship to explore, previously inaccessible passages now open for traversal. All that good stuff and more.
Oh, you’re not forced to go at it alone either: bring a friend for some local co-op fun! No more character swapping. Provided everyone stays alive, since enemies now have a second target, ya know? While that does all sound pretty neat and exciting, the part about “bosses that scare the dear life out of you” I am less enthusiastic about, for obvious reasons. Then again, who dares wins! Onward, to victory! (Once the game is out, anyway.)
Lost in Sky: Insurrection will be on Steam… soon?
