Oh, I do so enjoy these events – online and in-person – that revolve entirely around one specific topic, theme, game genre, and so on. But that’s only a small part of why I’m excited about Studio Élan’s upcoming event, Élan Festival 2022. It’s not exactly some big secret that I’m a huge fan of visual novels and the more LGBT content, the better; the exact kind featured across the board from this particular developer.
First things first, though: that screenshot atop this article? Yeah, that’s from Studio Élan’s upcoming Please Be Happy, and not only does it have a lengthy playable demo, but I also scribbled down my thoughts after playing, last year. Got all that? Great! Onto the main attraction, then: namely, Élan Festival 2022.
Now, prior engagements can and often do get in the way, causing live streams to be missed. Which is a darn shame. Fortunately, this one will be archived on their YouTube channel, although obviously, I would recommend trying to tune in if at all possible as certain parts will only really be a thing, well, live. Just saying. When? Ah, quite soon, actually: on May 14th, 4 pm PT / 7 pm ET.
As for what to expect… well, I mentioned updates and giveaways in the title, and the latter is self-explanatory, but updates? Oh yeah, that’ll likely take up a large portion of the stream with details on new merch, announced games, and of course, additions to their publishing wing, Bellhouse. But wait, there’s more! How about a Q&A, with questions from Twitter? Use the hashtag #ElanFestivalQA and ask away. Then, with a little luck, yours might be among the questions they choose to answer during the event. Wouldn’t that be something?
