In case you’ve been looking for a reason to return to the watering hole and engage in the kind of deadly combat against up to three other players (or AI-controlled opponents) that only Evolution brings… well, this is it: weekly challenges have arrived, and boy is this week’s ever troublesome! So much in fact that I struggled to grab the bronze medal.
I mean, sure, there are probably those out there who have figured out a method to manipulate the game’s RNG elements and have, at the time of writing, already snagged a gold medal this week. On the other hand (get it?), winning a game with at least 10 cards in hand at the end… wow. So many opportunities for wreaking havoc across the board. Far too tempting to pass up, and best of all, to get a gold medal, you’ll have to start the challenge against an AI on hard difficulty. Which is quite difficult, I might add.
Can you beat the Evolution Board Game using each trait only once? Can you win without eating from the Watering Hole? See how adaptable you really are in these challenges that require you to play a different way.
One could of course simply opt for bronze (easy AI) and call it a day, but where’s the fun in that? So go on, make sure your game’s updated to build 1.16.03 and head for the local games menu to find this week’s challenge.
In case you don’t own a copy of Evolution yet, you’ll be glad to hear it’s actually on sale right now (except for Steam, even though keys purchased via. the developer’s website are in fact discounted), and hey… there’s always my review of the desktop version if you need further convincing of its worth.
Evolution Board Game is available on Steam, Android, and iOS.
