Explosions are on the Menu for Each and Every ‘Christmas Blaster’

Explosions are on the Menu for Each and Every ‘Christmas Blaster’

Krampus is up to no good – surprising exactly no one – and only an excess amount of oversized bullets and explosions are going to be enough to… put an end to… well, whatever he might be scheming this time. Time for Santa to lock, load, and moonlight as a Christmas Blaster!

Now, what the trailer below doesn’t actually show, but most certainly indicates the potential for, is… wait for it… 4-player local co-op. Why is that so important? Oh, if you don’t know the answer to that question, you’ve clearly never played titles like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat ’em up with one or more friends along for the ride. That or Final Fight, Streets of Rage – heck, any of those genre classics, really. Except, Christmas Blaster is more of a twin-stick shooter, if we get down to the nitty-gritty. But speaking from experience, those are definitely also more fun with at least one other person participating in the carnage.

Santa needs to save Christmas and face creatures and his enemy Krampus with a lot of blast in this fun action-packed game.

As for whether Santa actually needs the additional firepower from another player or two (or three), well, that remains to be seen. Probably wouldn’t hurt though. Make things a bit easier, and ensure Christmas is in fact saved at the end of the day. Goodness, imagine if Krampus emerged victorious. Or don’t. Probably best not to. Fill the screen with bullets and try not to get hit instead. Put an end to his reign of terror so we can all enjoy seasonal cheer and lots of presents by the time the credits roll.

No humbug for you.

Christmas Blaster is available on Steam for $2.99.

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
