It’s time to trim the sails and roam the sea and brace for what is bound to be a perilous journey, Captain Contraband waiting to take unsuspecting players all over the Bone Seas. In a place so murky and muddy, only the most skilled will be able to make a living, much less stay afloat. Piracy, smuggling, or freight? Well, whichever path you choose… mind the undead.
I’m not joking about that last bit. Zombies are very real in this world and they’re quite eager to send you down to Davy Jones’ Locker. Oh, and death is permanent, so better haul you-know-what once your ship is full of treasure – a lot can (easily) happen before you reach safety, after all. Including getting blasted to smithereens by zombies. I did mention those guys, right? Alright. Zombies. Ew.
Take up piracy, smuggling, or good old fashioned freight. You’re going to need a lot of coin where you’re going, and you aren’t the only pirate in these seas.
How about some real-time naval cannon combat, while we’re at it, navigation, timing, angle management, and so on, all being… well, pretty darn important? Yup. Wouldn’t be a trip to the high seas without such, so there ya go. Seeking to be further challenged, or perhaps some assistance is in order? Ah, a bit of both? Great, as that’s exactly what you’ll end up with after acquiring one or more Unholy Sacraments, each providing a boon and a curse in equal amounts. Such is the road to legendary status – crazy, chaotic, and full of danger. With but a hint of treasure every so often. What a life!
Captain Contraband will be on Steam come Q3 2020, carrying a TBD price tag.
