According to the police (via. CNN), the “mass shooting at Buffalo supermarket was a racist hate crime”. I refuse to believe that anyone capable of performing such a horrifying act is in fact, like me, a human being. Even so, I refuse to acknowledge a person with such deep-rooted hatred for – again – fellow human beings, simply because their skin color is different. It doesn’t make them any less human, unlike the monster who pulled the trigger. But enough of that. What say we move on to the bundle for now, and raise money for Buffalo-based Black Love Resists in the Rust instead?
As already noted, proceeds from Bundle for Buffalo will go to the Buffalo-based organization, Black Love Resists in the Rust, an undeniably solid effort that aims to “build safe and flourishing communities that resist the ills of white supremacist, cis-heteropatriarchal, capitalism; including policing”. And with more resources, more projects can be started while those already begun can move along faster. This is where Bundle for Buffalo comes into play.
Words are not enough; “ally” is a verb — we must be actively anti-racist. And so, we created this bundle to support the victims and survivors through providing funding for Black- and Brown-led grassroots social justice work in the Buffalo community.
$5 will get you 180 items and much like TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas! and TTRPGs for Reproductive Rights respectively, this one also emphasizes print-and-play experiences over digital games (although unlike those two, not exclusively).
Bundle for Buffalo will be available for another 19 days and change, at the time of writing.
