A town with a devil infestation problem that, while disruptive to the general populace, is actually super important to our lovely protagonist couple, Sophie and Anna, as the two are able to make a proper living hunting those demonic denizens in BOSSGAME: The Final Boss Is My Heart.
In other words, to quote the game’s page, this one’s all about “LESBIAN DEVIL-HUNTING ACTION!!”, and let’s face it, that’s a genuinely groovy premise! Oh, and kicking you-know-what and taking names to pay rent is not the only thing on the menu either, as Sophie and Anna aren’t exactly shy when it comes to a little PDA. Besides, what’s the point in fighting alongside your girlfriend if there’s no room for flirting? All work and no play, after all.
Take charge of Sophie, sword priestess and generally anxious mess, and Anna, fire witch and localized disaster, as they fight, flirt, and try to pay the rent.Hunt horrifying devils, confront your corrupt employer, uncover the dark secrets behind Mammon City, and prove that evil doesn’t stand a chance against the power of girlfriends.
Speaking of, as a glance at the trailer below also reveals, this whole LESBIAN DEVIL-HUNTING ACTION!! affair is one of rhythmic proportions and some rather funky chiptunes to accompany the on-screen action. While the former might make some lose interest just by the mere thought, worry not for BOSSGAME: The Final Boss Is My Heart features not only difficulty options, but also “an in-game wiki full of classified boss info”, and as long as either Sophie or Anna is alive, she’ll be able to revive her girlfriend. Sweet. Take that, wicked devils!
Ah, almost forgot to mention how there’s a move called LOVE Breaker which lets you stun enemies, the cast consists of “queer miscreants”, and the game has “frank discussions of queerness and anxiety”. Oh, I am definitely liking this. All of it. But… how about you?
