It’s cats vs. rabbits in ASTRO AQUA KITTY as war is waged over whatever treasure a bunch of water-filled asteroids might hold. Boring? Oh, ye of little faith, it is anything but, as your crew blasts off into space, mining like there’s no tomorrow, gunning down those pesky rabbits with skills and weaponry. Poor rabbits won’t know what hit ’em.
Of course, there’s more to it than simply mining and thwarting off rabbits as they attempt to grab everything for themselves. Your crew is made up of a selection of animals, each with its own unique abilities and stats, unlocked by… wait for it… levelling up. How? By blasting enemies! What, you think mining gems might be a resource for XP? Ha! No. Those are for going shopping, which I believe is the go-to spot for ship customization and weapons.
Just watch out for marauding pirate rabbits, always trying to be first to the loot!
With five difficulty levels and an optional permadeath switch to flick, this “all new Action RPG shoot-em-up adventure” can be easy, downright brutal, or somewhere in between. Oh, and if you find yourself stuck somewhere, chances are it’s simply a matter of finding the right cat to help you get past the obstacle. Mechanics, for example, can take care of doors, while pilots are good with vehicles and turrets, and scientists… for rather unusual tasks, really.
Who’s ready to stick it to the rabbits and fly back home with all the gems, in ASTRO AQUA KITTY?
ASTRO AQUA KITTY is available on Steam, Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, carrying a $14.99 price tag.
