Slide left, slide right, slide up, slide down, slide all around. But steer clear of the light, for it will end your game. So to speak. Well, it’ll spell a mean ‘game over’ in Square Ogre, at least. You’ll just have to slide your way across each level in pitch-black darkness.
Oh, and since you’ll be playing the part of Square Ogre (who’s totally real, by the way), you have to make sure never to end up facing those bright lights. Yes, even while getting bounced all over the place in the more complex stages, tiles disappearing underneath your very feet, the exit seemingly just out of reach. Otherwise, well, you know what’s gonna happen, and it won’t be pretty.
The world is so beautiful! There is so much to see! Square eyes just aren’t enough to take it all in. Would you help Square Ogre add some more corners to that eye?
No reward, and do you really want to leave the poor creature forever stuck in that cave? You’ll have to brave as many as 500 puzzles across 20 worlds, however, before sweet freedom is within reach… or at the very least, fresh air. Both should be suitable motivators, I’d say. So slide! Slide like there’s no tomorrow!
Square Ogre is available on itch.io ($3.99) with an ad-based version on Google Play.
