It’s been four years since the hilarious shenanigans of Manual Samuel were unleashed upon unsuspecting gamers everywhere – and about a year and a half since I reviewed it – so an Anniversary Edition update is kind of overdue, ya know? At least that patch was well worth the wait, however, several exploits and bugs were fixed, new features were added, and… much more!
While I’m obviously not going to go over every last one of the twenty-six bullet points that make up the changelog for Manual Samuel – Anniversary Edition, I have to say, the most important change is definitely the 75% space requirement reduction, shrinking from 2 GB to 500 MB! Yeah right. It’s totally the… uh… improved leakage. But seriously, Japanese localization, a ‘slightly easier’ final boss fight, some speedrunning stuff, and fixes for a bunch of controller-detection issues – now those are the genuinely groovy parts of this update.
On this very day 4 years ago (and 42 days) the world changed forever. We’re pleased to announce that today it will change once more.
Last but not least: Manual Samuel – Anniversary Edition is 80% off during The Steam Autumn Sale, which ends in… let’s see… approximately 30 hours. Totally worth it at that price (less than two bucks), even if Samuel, its protagonist, is a bit of a jerk. And dead. So very dead. Except… well… actually, you should just spend the $1.99 (during the sale) and see for yourself.
