When things go bump in the night, who ya gonna call? No, not those guys. Not this time. In the upcoming Spooky Crew: Mask of the Mysterium, it’s time for the titular Spooky Crew to strut their stuff – and you get to join them! What could possibly go wrong?
Well, considering its creator made sure to emphasize how the title will feature multiple endings… probably at least one or two things. It is after all a mystery set in a museum, and one involving a masked figure at that. I’m willing to bet actual money that person, whoever it may turn out to be, is up to no good. No good at all.
An encounter with a masked figure leads the crew to investigate the secrets of a local museum.
That said, much like so many other recent genre entries, Spooky Crew: Mask of the Mysterium isn’t “stuck in the nostalgic past”, as while it is just the pilot episode, suffice to say, a fair amount of work has seemingly still gone into the project: puzzles have more than just one solution, for example, and then there are the aforementioned multiple endings.
Last but by no means least: multiple playable characters! Alyssa, Ethyl, Hector, and Bert make up the Spooky Crew, and odds are they all have at least one unique strength, perhaps even some sort of… weakness. Which could become a strength under the right circumstances. Or something.
Spooky Crew: Mask of the Mysterium will be on Steam, come Q1 2024.
