Conduct Electronic Symphonies With Tuneblades in ‘Klang 2’

Conduct Electronic Symphonies With Tuneblades in ‘Klang 2’

EDM (Electronic Dance Music) is rarely the focus of video games nowadays, although every now and then, a rhythmic affair like Klang 2 does come along. In an interesting twist, you won’t simply be pressing buttons to the beat, or some such, as this experience is powered by… high-speed combat! Groovy.

That said, only through skillful play shall you succeed, mastery of magical tuneblades and lightning powers absolutely mandatory. On the surface, eh, it’s a pretty simple affair: strikes, dashes, and holds make up your arsenal. Or put differently, flashy fireballs, dodging, and electrifying lightning. An interesting… mix.

Klang 2s not only the ideal introduction to the Klang universe, but all things rhythm-action!

Let’s see… thirty levels – playable at normal and fast speed – to get through, combat being semi-procedural, music by the likes of bLiNd, James Landino, Arcien, Nhato, Steven Silo, City Girl, cYsmix, and several boss types – phew! This one seems to pack quite a punch. Both for your speakers/headphones and whatever peripheral (mouse, gamepad, drawing tablet, touch) you opt for playing with. Oh, and let’s not forget the techno-greek aesthetic.

So, who’s ready to get their EDM groove on?

Klang 2 will be on Steam, come October 20 2021 with a $15 price tag. Switch, PlayStation 4+5, Xbox One + Series X|S? “At a later date.”

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
