IndieMeadow’s Greenlight Bundles the Greens; Remember to Vote

November 14th, 2013 Wraithkal News

Lots of new bundlers these days. First Flying Bundle from out of nowhere, and now IndieMeadow with a bunch of Greenlight candidates, hoping to get them some votes! I like that idea, and the lineup even has some lesser-knowns.

With its pay-what-you-want price tag and focus on DRM-free Greenlight titles, this is certainly a cool initiative. Whether or not we’ll see a second outing is unknown at this point. But for now, let’s enjoy what’s there: seven games and a goodie pack, which contains soundtracks, wallpapers and box art. As far as platform availability goes, it’s a mixed bag, but there’s certainly something for everyone (Windows, Mac and Linux); remember, your vote matters!

Dweebs 3

Dweebs 3 (Windows)
On their quest to reach their home planet in Cygnus-X, you must help the Dweebs solve many puzzles that await in outer space as they cross time itself into the Furbidden Planets zone. Here you will find mind bending puzzles to overcome in order to help your furry friends make it home safely.

Full Bore

Full Bore (Windows, Linux)
Deep underground lies a reminder of Boarkind’s darkest hours. All it takes is one little boar to dig it back up. A block puzzler with an exploratory twist, Full Bore throws the player into an open world of crumbling mines, arcane ruins, and technological wonders with only curiosity to lead the way. Full Bore is packed to the brim with secrets and hidden rooms, because in a world of blocks, puzzles could be anywhere.

Little Cells

Little Cells (Windows, Mac, Linux) [BETA]
Look through a microscope and discover a small world made of ever expanding cells of 3 colors. Launch a cell against one of the same color to make them both disappear. Launch it against a cell of a different color and a new cell of the third color will be created. But beware! Cells are aging and become sick and dark. They might spread out and contaminate the whole system.

Plush

Plush (Windows, Mac, Linux)
It’s Penny’s bedtime, but she can’t go to sleep until all of her stuffed animals are happy. Arrange the animals on the bed in the right way to make them all happy so Penny can go to sleep.

Siege Wars

Siege Wars (Windows)
Epic catapult-shooter arcade game. Crush your enemies and their castles before their magic crash you! Unlike most modern catapult games, enemies in Siege Wars can act – periodically cast harmful spells upon your weapons!

Sphoxie

Sphoxie (Windows) [BETA]
In Sphoxie you must help our little spikey blue spherical dude get back home after a portal sucked him to a strange cube world. You control a little ball dude with spikes and you must navigate the levels while collecting the red cubes to open up the exit and the yellow cubes for points, watch out there are different enemies who want to smother and annoy you.

Splatter

Splatter (Windows)
Fight loads of zombies and monsters, use flares to scare off enemies and light up the dark, experience a film-noir story, battle awesome boss monsters and play with your friends in local Multiplayer game modes. Thats Splatter. Anything else to mention?

Don’t forget that IndieMeadow’s Greenlight Bundle will only be available for less than fifteen days, so don’t wait too long; unless you enjoy paying full price for indie games, that is. Nothing wrong with that, but since a bundle has been made available and all – might as well, right?

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
