No more secrecy: the Gayming Awards 2022 nominees have been revealed, and what a lovely bunch we’ve got across so many categories. There are even some new ones this year, including Comic Books, Esports and Tabletop Gaming, “to include further elements of geek culture”.
Oh right, one thing to note: while the Gayming Awards isn’t limited to indie games, well, you know how it is around these parts – I do (mostly) cover such, or related topics, here. As such, I won’t be listing the entire lot below. Just the indies. That said, I do still absolutely love how they added a comics category – among others – this year. I mean, DC Pride #1, anyone? Yup. Nominated. Likely winner, too.
Anyway, with the Gayming Awards 2022 being both an in-person and online event, thanks to the wonder that is streaming tech, Julia Hardy hosting, and a wide range of categories… it’s bound to be an absolute blast!

But when, and of equal importance, where? Why, on April 25, 2022, at the Troxy Theatre, London! Tickets are on sale right now, for those not interested in settling for watching a stream. Only a limited number is available, however, and hey, how about “an in-person exclusive nerdy drag pre-show featuring London’s iconic Cybil’s House” to further sweeten the deal? Might be a bit of a lengthy trip for some, although honestly, streaming is a perfectly viable alternative.
