Time to Vote: Flying Bundle Has Six Greenlight Titles For a Buck

Yay, Greenlight! Well, you know what that means: no Steam keys. Boo-hoo. Get to voting if you want the featured games on Valve’s digital distribution platform, eh? Aside from that, it’s a pretty cool lineup, with adventures, physics-based destruction, puzzle platforming, and more fun stuff!

Rules are simple, even if the contents aren’t (wait, what?). $1 for the entire thing, and do remember to click the respective Greenlight link for some voting; make a difference. Oh, there’s also a mystery game, because it wouldn’t be a proper bundle without it in this day and age, ya know? Onto the games!

Astroloco: Worst Contact

Astroloco: Worst Contact (Windows – Desura) Greenlight [review]
In the far future, humans explore and colonise space using ridiculously deadly, moon-sized trains – ‘Astro Locomotives’. They’re operated by enormous, competing railroad companies and train vs. train combat is (expensively) common. Take control of a mistreated mechanic and a swashbuckling pilot as you try to save Gilbert Station from destruction at the hands of an alien death fleet!

Blasted Fortress

Blasted Fortress (Windows – Desura) Greenlight
Blasted Fortress is a physics-based destruction game. Think back to games like Crush the Castle, with RPG elements and a lot more depth, as well as plans to expand the game after release according to fan feedback.

Deep Eclipse

Deep Eclipse (Windows – DRM-free) Greenlight
You’re the pilot of a space fighter, accidentally catapulted into a parallel universe populated by hostile alien creatures; and they’re not happy to see you! To get out of this hell, do your best, to destroy hordes of enemies. Be prepared to be part of this world, if you want to survive. Develop and upgrade your space fighter with a wide range of role-play features.

Plazma Being

Plazma Being (Windows – Desura) Greenlight
Take control of Zeb in this puzzle/platformer. He is a small energy based life form from space, known as a Plazma Being. While journeying through space to his home, Zeb was surprised to find that he was being kidnapped by aliens. They took him back to their planet and unceremoniously threw him into captivity. During this time a series of earthquakes shook the planet and wreaked havoc upon the alien civilization, but giving Zeb a chance to escape.

Spectrum

Spectrum: A puzzle platformer (Windows, Linux – Desura) Greenlight
Spectrum is a side scrolling 2D game. An addictive puzzle platformer that challenges the player to use their mind and patience to progress through the game in a beautiful hand painted art world. Tadashi is the main character in Spectrum. He is trying to figure out what happened to him and how to escape this mysterious world. He discovers that he can’t attack or kill any thing. However, he can change colours to interact with the environment.

You’ve got 13 days and 7 hours to grab the Flying Greenlight Bundle before it disappears… forever!

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
