Unravel the Mysterious Past of a Ghost Girl in ‘ELEGIES: Aya’

Unravel the Mysterious Past of a Ghost Girl in ‘ELEGIES: Aya’

To say that Zach’s world has been completely turned upside down in ELEGIES: Aya would be an understatement. Not only did his house burn down, but he was also the lone survivor of the horrible incident, his parents perishing in the inferno. Then, following the tragedy, he wakes up in a hospital, and meets a friendly girl, thinking the madness has ended. Except she’s a ghost… and only Zach is able to see her!

Not a ghost of the evil or vindictive variety, thank goodness. But even with that out of the way, there is still the mystery of why only our protagonist can see her, as well as the undeniably odd timing of her appearance. Why now? What’s her relation to/interest in Zach?

Join Zach and Aya on their journey of overcoming trauma and discovering the mysteries surrounding Aya’s past.

Those are just some of the questions that are bound to be going through the mind of the poor traumatized guy, and who knows, maybe answers will be found to at least some, over the course of this mystery visual novel. With multiple endings and an estimated length of somewhere between five and seven hours, there’s certainly room for plenty of story beats, and by the time the credits roll, well, let’s hope everything will make sense once more.

ELEGIES: Aya is available on Steam, itch.io, and Epic Games Store, for $17.99.

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
