‘Don’t Starve Together’ Fans, Rejoice: Maxwell’s Character Refresh is Here!

Can I get an encore? Or rather, can Maxwell, the former Nightmare King? It is after all time for his Don’t Starve Together‘s character refresh, and… things are changing.

But what’s actually different following this recent update? For starters, Maxwell can now control up to six puppets at a time, and improved ones at that. New stuff to craft? Definitely: the Magician’s Top Hat and Magician’s Chest! Oh, and all shadows can be summoned on the ocean. Aquatic shadows. Neat.

The former Nightmare King suddenly finds himself facing his past… and a choice about his future. Everyone take your seats, the Amazing Maxwell’s next act is about to begin.

On a more global scale, controller twin-stick aiming for AoE targeting spells has been added. Actions such as dropping, refueling, and repairing items can be performed on controllers while auto-pause is enabled. Let’s see… oh, there’s more, don’t you worry.
