Returning to your old hometown, The ‘Berg, in this case, can be many things. In Crush Penguin, it’s an eye-opening experience as a lot has changed, and not all of it for the better. But while pollution and corruption are both out of control, it’s actually not all bad. There might even be a bit of romance lurking underneath it all, provided you’re willing to take a chance on the four potential suitors.
They might not seem like much at first glance, in spite of being gloriously hand-drawn. They might not even be much beyond that first glance either, actually. Sometimes that’s still enough though. Love can, after all, blossom even in the coldest environments, in places you least expect to find it. And hey, keeping track of your dates is easier than ever, thanks to Penguinbook.
So, to introduce the flightless four, let’s begin with Alex the business penguin. On the surface, a pretty neat gig – mind on his money, and all that. Things are rarely as they seem though. Just saying. Up next, Joey the rapper-slash-life-coach who cherishes animals above all else; a down-on-his-luck soul hard at work trying to reintegrate himself back into The ‘Berg. Or how about Bailey, a lifelong rebel on a mission to rise up against the corruption that’s spread around The ‘Berg? Then, last but by no means least, there’s Tommy who was clearly born in the wrong era, now more than happy to go through life roleplaying as a pirate.
An interesting bunch, to say the least, and it’s up to you to get to know them better – maybe even fall in love if you play your cards right. Metaphorical cards, that is. I don’t believe there’s even a hint of gambling in this dating sim. Plenty happening still though, so what are you waiting for?
Crush Penguin is available on Steam for $0.99.
