Warriors of the North, eh? Seeing how few turn-based strategy titles actually make a positive impact these days, more Battle Brothers DLC is always welcome. Especially ones such as this, which will add sacrificing humans to please the gods… among other groovy things.
While no release date has been announced at the time of writing, they did spill the beans on several things that will (hopefully) make the cut: a new human faction is also on the drawing board, adding some much-needed enemy variety to the experience. Ah, and raiding too, since raiding is a big deal in the icy north! Just like banners, armours and helmets, of which we’re also getting new ones. Pretty packed piece of DLC if you ask me. New contracts, events and origins? Check, check and check.
This DLC will be focused on new content, and it will be smaller in scope than ‘Beasts & Exploration’. This also means that you won’t have to wait quite as long until you can play it!
On top of the DLC, which will not be free, they’re also planning a sizeable content patch with “a whole bunch of improvements, quality-of-life features and balancing changes, as well as some minor content additions”. So even if you don’t pick up Warriors of the North, your Battle Brothers experience will still be changed around the time of its release. Long live the mighty mercenary!
