Point, click and magic happens, ya know? Well, that’s how I’d describe AdventureX anyway, which – as far as I know – is the only event dedicated entirely to adventure gaming goodness. During its 48-hour course, there’ll be guest (and specialist) talks, game demonstrations, and even a chance to play up-and-coming titles.
Everyone’s welcome, no matter your role in the world of adventure gaming – from developer to publisher and even especially curious fans. Everyone. No entry fee either, which is bound to make the whole thing a lot more appealing to some. Do remember to wear that all-important visitors pass though. Just in case.
Come and meet the game developers, businesses and others involved with adventure gaming, point & click adventure games and the wider indie game scene.
From the 6th to the 7th of December (schedule), AdventureX will play host to a manner of fun things in central London. There’ll be product demonstrations, which currently have A Golden Wake and Nelly Cootalot listed, as well as talks, panels, and exhibitions by developers and various other industry people, big and small alike. In fact, why don’t you take the floor and share your game/idea/experiences with like-minded individuals? Worst case scenario, you’ll waste a few hours, although I doubt that’ll be the outcome.
Now, on the topic of actually getting to the venue… well, it’s actually pretty easy: “AdventureX is a 2-minute walk from Elephant & Castle tube station (using South Bank Uni exit) in central London.” See? Actually, ‘easy’ may be a slight exaggeration for out-of-towners, in which case this link might prove considerably more useful than the prior quote.
Quick recap: Adventure X will take place on December 6 and 7 in London, at the South Bank University. No admission or exhibition fee, but donations – of which 25% will go to charity – are welcome. Will you be attending?
