A Hat in Time has been around for a long time, even if it only launched a couple of years ago, and I’d say its creator is feeling the long-term support as another piece of DLC (Nyakuza Metro + Online Party) was revealed yesterday. This time, the adorable Hat Kid will be joining a gang and hosting parties online(!) with up to 50 friends.
Like any good expansion, this latest A Hat in Time DLC adds… well, more of everything, really, ranging from Time Pieces and weapons to flairs and badges. Good stuff, no doubt, but what about the whole Nyakuza thing? See, that’s where the main attraction for many resides: an all-new chapter has been added, complete with a new feature in the form of a sticker system. You know, on top of all the new areas and being able to join the Nyakuza. Just in case those aren’t enough to make this DLC a must-have (wait, what?).
Welcome to the deep underground Nyakuza Metro! It’s the perfect place for a little lying, a little cheating… a little stealing. Join the Nyakuza and become mad rich – joining a gang never turned out bad, right?
These can be applied to your weapon or with the Camera Badge, and should you so desire, turned into emotes. That’s right, emotes. What’s Hat Kid to do without emotes, after all? But seriously, emotes are cool. Even more so since they can be used in Online Party mode, which features both public (up to 3 strangers, no interactions) or private (up to 49 friends, all kinds of shenanigans). Progress is even combined, so if even one of the fifty completes a time rift… everyone will have it marked as done. Quite a lovely little thing, I’d say.
A Hat in Time‘s Nyakuza Metro + Online Party DLC will be on Steam, GOG.com, and Humble from May 10 with a $6.99 price tag.
