This Week's Greenlight Escapees: The (Dirty) Dozen

A solid week this time, escapees going all the way up to twelve! That is all. To the games then. To the games! Yeah!

Bleeding Blocks (GL)

Bleeding Blocks
Bleeding Blocks is a 2D arena shooter with bullet-hell elements. Choose from six unique classes, each with unique abilities and playing styles. Will you rush in with the melee-intensive Rogue class, rain firepower from afar with the Reaper class, or be an all-round generalist with the Grunt class? Play against the challenging AI in single-player mode or against a friend in local multiplayer mode.

Incitement 3 (GL)

Incitement 3
Sophorian civilization has been long looking for other sentient races in space in order to integrate them into their own society. However, that has not come without dissentions among the Sophorians, and sometimes very violent conflicts. In the recent past two huge attacks had occurred that threatened the whole civilization. The first one struck the government. The second one struck the Sophorian army. But was there a connection between those attacks, and will history repeat itself over and over until there’s no civilization left?

Volvox (GL)

Volvox is a puzzle game based on a triangular grid. The characters, called Trimoebas, are triangular unicellular organisms undertaking the building of the first pluricellular beings, traveling through the evolution. The Trimoebas bear functional properties on their sides, such glue, explosive, insulating and hooks, but they are useful only if the Trimoebas are correctly rotated: you will have to move on the right path and make the Trimoebas overstep each other to complete the mission.

Purrfectly Ever After (GL)

Purrfectly Ever After
Purrfectly Ever After is an original English language visual novel (OELVN) for girls. This dating sim is filled with side-splitting comedy, over-the-top drama, and of course, heart-melting romance. This first game from Weeev aims to bridge the gap between Japanese-centric otome games told in a not-so-Japanese point of view and storyline.

Slipstream (GL)

Slipstream is an arcade-style checkpoint racing game. You drive across 15 different tracks and race against the clock to get to the finish line, while avoiding the traffic and obstacles along the way. At the end of each track, the road splits in two different paths, allowing players to choose their next destination. The game takes place in a variety of exotic landscapes, including cities, mountains, forests, beaches and valleys, and features a simple yet challenging driving gameplay.

Nyctophilia (GL)

You arrive to the house in the hope to forget something. Over time this place will become a scary place. House tells its own dark story. Here past and present blend into each other, and you already can not understand difference between reality and illusion. Only questions and no answers.

The Last Time (GL)

The Last Time
Jack Glover was a police officer. His life hadn’t been particularly eventful in spite of his line of work; his patch was relatively peaceful, and most of his patrols were spent chatting with his partner. One day, however, something went terribly wrong (you can play the prologue in the demo to find out more), and he suffered an emotional trauma. Cut to forty years later, and we find Jack languishing in a care home, living out his remaining years in solitude. Suddenly, the phone rings; the caller is somebody connected with his past, and they want to meet with him.

Void Invaders (GL)

Void Invaders
This addictive game is not your average space shooter. You must spray bullets at colorful Space Invader inspired characters that are moving down the screen towards you. They’re fast moving and utilise a variety of attack patterns, making for some intense, adrenaline-fuelled gameplay – especially with the two amazing boss battles that provide a tough challenge.

Balrum (GL)

Balrum features a living fantasy world with deep tactical combat and dozens of side quests next to an epic main quest. In addition to traditional RPG features Balrum has deep crafting which allows the player to craft their own custom items. Balrum also features farming your own crops, building your home, and survival mechanics complemented by the game’s main features. In Balrum you control a single character, but your character will have a faithful animal companion as a pet. Your pet is fully controllable and adds greatly to the complexity of the combat.

Mayhem Triple

Mayhem Triple
Mayhem Triple is a completely free game that I spent 10 years creating. It combines highly stylish, polished and acrobatic combat with absurdism and low-brow humor, so you can dive with 2 pistols and slide along the floor, firing to blow off the head of the invading bunny soldier. Throughout the game are highly cinematic setpieces that will dazzle as well as challenge, with 5 detailed levels that lead up to the epic confrontation in the earth’s upper atmosphere. When you beat the game, though, it’s not the end, as Mayhem Triple features a unique in-story new game + feature that must be utilized to get the real ending through clever exploration.

AIPD - Artificial Intelligence Police Department

AIPD – Artificial Intelligence Police Department
Enter the AI universe and fight evil artificial intelligences with a vast variety of weapons and modifications. AIPD is a top-down coop twin-stick shooter with a visual style that is an homage to 80s neon art styles, pioneered by games like Minestorm on the Vectrex console system or feature films like TRON, which are legendary to this day.

Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~

Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~
Have you had enough ham-fisted, symbolic tales about how humans are the true monsters in a world ravaged by the undead? Enter Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~, a hybrid visual novel dungeon crawling RPG that is primed to shatter the entire zombie apocalypse genre by turning that premise upside-down and inside-out! Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~ tells the tale of Reginald “Reggie” Happenstahnce, who just so happens to be the son of the scientist who created the cure for the zombie plague.
