[Update: Greenlit] Stuck In Greenlight Limbo: ‘Free Balling’

[Update: Greenlit] Stuck In Greenlight Limbo: ‘Free Balling’

This time the spotlight will be shining on Free Balling, a physics puzzler which has you drawing the levels… in real-time! So, what say we help it escape the cold emptiness of Greenlight limbo?

In a world where one ball’s life HANGS in the balance against an infinite amount of track, THAT YOU DRAW!

Ain’t the first physics puzzler in which players got to draw the levels/puzzle solutions, although I do not recall seeing one which enabled doing so while everything was in motion. Creating a path, track, or whatever you wanna call it, so that a ball can reach its destination may sound easy, perhaps even simple. I have a feeling it isn’t though, seeing how physics (ie. gravity) has a way of messing up what’d otherwise be a basic task. Or maybe I’m just overly pessimistic? Maybe. Whatever the case, the creative among us are bound to have a field day with this, building complex ‘infinity machine’ solutions instead of heading directly for the goal, simply because they can. Maybe.

So riddle me this, dear reader: why is Free Balling still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s readily available and all, so that’s definitely not what’s keeping it in Greenlight limbo. So, how about visiting its Greenlight page and handing over a ‘yes’, if you like what you see? Remember, your vote matters!

Wraithkal

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
