In video games, the go-to for zombies is to, well, murder them. No questions asked. No alternatives. We just go to town with whatever weapons are available and call it a day. Zombie Cure Lab, as the name implies, has other plans. Plans involving… turning zombies into humbies! (Wait, what?)
Zombies are going to be a pain to deal with, that part hasn’t changed. They do only come out at night, however, so during the day you’ll have all the time in the world until nightfall to set up defenses. Better make the most of it too or your base might end up completely overrun by the undead. And really, they’re so much more useful when cured, bolstering your workforce instead of trying to eat them. But unless you manage day and night shifts accordingly, that Zombie Cure Lab is going to turn into Zombie Lab before you know it.
Base building, resource management, production lines – all that good stuff seemingly make up the bulk of this game. A zany take on (the already zany) Theme Hospital, I suppose; except you’re not working to cure humans here. Oh, and to even get the domestication process started, you’ll have to catch them first. With your fancy freezing guns! Because zombies are obviously not hot-blooded enough to simply melt the ice. Unlike us amazing humans. (Totally not a thing with humans either, by the way.)
With more than 200 technologies to acquire, zombie curing is bound to be a bit of a long-term project. Better make sure you’re able to keep everything powered, as one machine failing at a crucial time could start a disastrous chain reaction! It likely won’t, but better safe than sorry because the sun is about to go down and the undead are just waiting for a chance to bolster their forces. Or kill every last scientist in that fancy base of yours. Whichever is easier. Welcome to the wonderful world of science, at Zombie Cure Lab.
Zombie Cure Lab is scheduled to start domesticating the undead on Steam in 2022.
