Play Games, Save the Planet: 60+ Titles Make up Charity-focused ‘World Land Trust Bundle’

Play Games, Save the Planet: 60+ Titles Make up Charity-focused ‘World Land Trust Bundle’

Let’s start with the bad stuff: the world is in danger. Not some fictional world either. Our world. Earth. The planet you are likely, while reading this, on. Told ya, bad stuff. On top of that, no Steam or other external keys are available through this bundle. Also pretty ba – actually, who cares about that part? You’re looking at a bundle so jam-packed, it’s got a combined value of well over $450 and the minimum price is $4.99! That’s the good stuff, and man is it ever. Good, that is.

In case you’re wondering what the charity-focused part of the title means, well, the World Land Trust Bundle is raising money for World Land Trust, “an international conservation trust working with a network of local partners around the world to save, protect and restore critically threatened habitats for wildlife, and in doing so, lock up carbon and address climate change”. Yes, just like that. Cheap indie games, no DRM, no external keys, or other nonsense. Just some sixty titles and change for a fiver. Groovy.

Provided you act quickly, that is, as the World Land Trust Bundle will have run its course in less than 5 days, at the time of writing. As such, I’ve listed a sample of its contents below. Just in case.

And deep under their South London flat, something grows…

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
