It’s a fact that many Steam users don’t check or even notice most Greenlight additions. There are simply too many, making it rather time-consuming. Hoping to alleviate this problem somewhat, I bring you The Greenlight Groove, featuring my recommendations from the past week!
Keep in mind that those listed below are by no means the only new arrivals, simply those I gave my ‘yes’ vote. With that in mind, would you kindly help make sure none end up as a potential Stuck In Greenlight Limbo candidate, by voting? Oh and do provide their creators with feedback. I’m sure they’ll appreciate anything, as long as it’s expressed properly (please, be nice).
Prompt
Prompt takes the traditional platformer concept and streamlines it down to its purest form. The game is designed to utilize simple and straightforward mechanics so that you can focus on directly applying your wit, determination, and skills in fine-tuned levels. There are no distractions – no excuses (except the beautiful minimalistic graphics, or the oldschool arcade style, or the fantastic atmospheric music.)
M.O.R.E. – Military. Organization. Research. Economy. (@MORE_the_game)
M.O.R.E. is a space strategy game combining addictive gameplay, impressive graphics with a very intuitive interface. We are basing the development of this game on several key principles. We want to create an advanced game which is easy to operate and provide entertainment of the highest quality. M.O.R.E. will have near infinite replay value, providing literal years of play enjoyment.
Ethereal (@despawngames)
Ethereal follows the protagonist through seven of his most traumatic memories. Hidden throughout each are mementos that help him let go of the past and move on. Through the memories, you learn about his life, seeing his worst days and helping him remember the good. The game has multiple endings based on the player’s level of completion at the end of the 7th and final memory.
Red Cobra (@spazchickens)
Shoot, bomb, explore and solve puzzles in order to put an end to the evil organization G.R.I.P. and their campaign to rule the world.
Guild of Hunters (@guildofhunters)
Guild of hunters (GoH) is the classic hack & slash game with a flavour of Zelda and Monster Hunter. The aim of this project is to create a fun and traditional ARPG with a balance between boss hunting and dungeon/puzzle exploration. GoH allows up to 4 players on the same screen, sharing missions and hunting gigantic monsters. Dozens of skill combos between players are designed, you will have to select your teammates carefully for different bosses.
3030 Deathwar (@CrunchyLeafGame)
Similar to games like Escape Velocity Nova and Elite/Privateer, the game features Open World exploration, boarding stations and derelicts, many diverse NPCs, tons of missions and an exciting plot! The new version adds higher resolution, massive balance and gameplay changes, a smoother tutorial and many other improvements!
Dokuro (@GungHo_America)
Dokuro puts players in command of a brave little skeleton who is fed up with his master, the Dark Lord, and resolves to rescue a recently kidnapped princess. The princess is blind to the various dangers and pitfalls of the castle and will continue to move forward — potentially to her doom– if our hero doesn’t do something! Upon coiffing down a magical blue elixir, Dokuro gains the ability to transform into a swashbuckling hero. This noble form allows him to save the day and simultaneously catch the eye of the otherwise unaware princess.
LOOP: A Tranquil Puzzle Game (@loopthegame)
LOOP is a zen puzzle game with a unique, simple, meditative feel. The interface is minimal; there’s no timers or move limit or score, you can just relax and engage with the puzzles on their own.
Pinstripe (@atmosgames)
Pinstripe is about a man looking for his wife in hell, and plays much like an immersive, interactive story.
