It’s a fact that many Steam users don’t check or even notice most Greenlight additions. There are simply too many, making it rather time-consuming. Hoping to alleviate this problem somewhat, I bring you The Greenlight Groove, featuring my recommendations from the past week!
Keep in mind that those listed below are by no means the only new arrivals, simply those I gave my ‘yes’ vote. With that in mind, would you kindly help make sure none end up as a potential Stuck In Greenlight Limbo candidate, by voting? Oh and do provide their creators with feedback. I’m sure they’ll appreciate anything, as long as it’s expressed properly (please, be nice).
M.A.V. – Modular Assault Vehicle
You play as a MAV pilot, fighting against an oppressive government trying to turn your home into a forced labor camp. You will be able to build your MAV, piece by piece, into the perfect weapon for your fighting style. You will need to use teamwork and a steady aim to fight against other MAV’s to protect your home and take back the areas conquered by others.
You Are Not A Banana
You Are Not A Banana is an adventure game set in everyday life. YNB is a single player that has a sprinkle of imagination and humor. The retro music, sound effects, visuals and gameplay seek to evoke nostalgia for the 80s and 90s. The entire game was created by one person (me) so don’t expect GTA 5.
Catapult for Hire
Catapult for Hire is designed in the spirit of big adventure a with a Nintendo 64 era inspired style and features a full campaign with an insane amount of variety. Compete in the colosseum to gain renown (like exp). Explore sprawling catacombs, play catapult-golf or go fishing to find rare ingredients for crafting.
Slip
Slip is a fast paced side scrolling platformer that utilizes a two color swap mechanic to allow the player to evade danger. It has an immense focus on timing and features devilishly tricky level design. Utilizing your two colors, absorb damage from incoming projectiles of the same color or be destroyed immediately by the opposite color. Additionally, Slip features colored Geometry that you only interact with when you share its color. This is perfect when you need a place to stand, but can result in instant death if you land on a set of spikes sharing your color.
Particle Mace
Particle Mace is explosive arcade fun for 1-4 players that pays homage to twitch games of the past, but replaces the typical guns with an unruly physics-based weapon. Take control of a tiny ship in an extremely hostile universe, and defend yourself as long as possible from enemy ships and asteroids using a collection of trash particles tethered to the ship. To survive, you must carefully navigate around the many hazards while building up momentum to swing your weapon into your foes or your friends, all in a field of brightly abstracted visuals and an entrancing procedural background.
