[Update: Greenlit] Stuck In Greenlight Limbo: ‘The Castles of Dr. Creep’

[Update: Greenlit] Stuck In Greenlight Limbo: ‘The Castles of Dr. Creep’

The Castles of Dr. Creep (GL)

This time the spotlight will be shining on The Castles of Dr. Creep, which beckons you to enter a mysterious castle… and never leave. Even so, let’s help it escape the loneliness of Greenlight limbo!

Feel free to come in and take a tour of one of our fantastic castles… but be warned, our castles are not always friendly…
A range of puzzles is waiting between your entrance, and your exit, some of them involving Frankenstein, Mummies, and even lightning machines, which are just waiting to give you a jolt.

Well, potentially lethal hazards and terrifying monsters aside, at least the architechture is pretty awesome – straight out of the Commodore 64 era. I mean, look at that screenshot and tell me I’m wrong. Tell me you’d rather have some fancy-pants 2.5D platformer instead, I dare you. Right. Anyway, I have been wondering for a good while if perhaps the likes of Frankenstein and various mummies are what’s been keeping it from escaping Greenlight limbo? Not so much for copyright reasons, mind you, but… the actual personas. Something something video game taken hostage.

Riddle me this, dear reader: why do YOU think The Castles of Dr. Creep is still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s not out just yet, but even so… how about visiting its Greenlight page and handing over a ‘yes’ if you like what you see? Remember: your vote matters!

Wraithkal

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
