This time the spotlight will be shining on Supermagical, a monster popper inspired by the likes of Bust a Move, albeit with a magical twist! Let’s see if we can’t help it escape the cold emptiness of Greenlight limbo, eh?
Join Nina, the little witch, in a fun magical adventure that will take you on a trip through different continents full of puzzles, spells, and… Minix? Minix are magic-loving little creatures who have invaded Nina’s world along with her Evil Witch sisters. Now you have no choice but to use your magic powers to send them all packing if you want to save the day!
“Save the day”? More like, “save the WORLD”, ya know? Anyway, while Supermagical may at first glance seem like just another clone of the Taito arcade classic, there’s definitely more to it than simple bubble (or monster) popping. Special attacks help turn the tide of battle, letting you push the Minix back several rows, blasting every last one of the same color, or something else entirely. Inbetween the ass kicking and name taking sessions, you have the option of shopping for power-ups, spell ingredients and other fun stuff. On top of packing a ton of levels, there’s also story elements full of dialogue trees, and a variety of multiplayer modes – Supermagical definitely sounds like it has staying power.
So riddle me this, dear reader: why is Supermagical still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s not out just yet, but should be at some point later this year. As such, might I recommend visiting its Greenlight page and handing over a ‘yes’, if you like what you see? Remember, your vote matters!
