This time the spotlight will be shining on ROTN. Rise Of The Nomad, a zombie-infested mix of Fallout and Pokemon (wait, what?). Let’s see if we can’t help it escape the cold emptiness of Greenlight limbo, eh?
Play as Bert the travelling salesman. Survive long enough to find the ingredients to cure the apocalypse but what happens to you along the way is based on your choices. Every choice you make will cause ripples throughout the game. Each playthrough is guaranteed to be different.
Those are some pretty bold statements, and ones other developers have made in the past, where… well, let’s just say the final product didn’t quite deliver. Not thereby saying this one will end up the same, just that making big promises isn’t always the best way to market your project. That aside, there’s certainly potential for fun here, with a wealth of features listed, including permadeath (obviously). Oh, and as it turns out, you can totally become a zombie by joining such a cult, in ROTN. Something tells me that’s a terrible idea though, all things considered; zombies tend to be rather… brain-dead, after all. Gonna be fun to see just how great an impact choice and consequence will have come launch though, as well as every other aspect of post-apocalyptic survival. Fingers crossed for something solid.
So riddle me this, dear reader: why is ROTN. Rise Of The Nomad. still struggling to get through Greenlight? It’s not out just yet, but a demo is available. For now, why not visit its Greenlight page and hand over a ‘yes’, if you like what you see? Remember, your vote matters!
