For most, weekends mean two days off work with some much-needed R&R. But for game developers, it’s a time during which they get to show off what they’ve been working on. I am of course referring to Screenshot Saturday, which involves tweeting screenshots with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag; some of which I will be critiquing every Tuesday, in Speculating Screenshots.
Assault Android Cactus (@AndroidCactus)
Oh man, Shiitake is just asking for trouble with a line like that! Or maybe she isn’t overly confident? Maybe… she’s that good? Whatever the case, someone’s definitely cruisin’ for a bruisin’.

Well, ain’t no business like robot busi– oh, right. Crooked cops bad. Crooked robotic cops – even worse. Oh and what’s with that funky purple/pink-ish color on their guns?

Speaking of business, eh? Wonder what she’s celebrating with that pizza pie, and more importantly, what kind of toppings it’s rockin’. After all, the public has a right to know!

Dragon of Legends (@Thrive905)
Wow. Spiders and wolves, all of which she has to fend off with but a meager spear? Ain’t easy being Brynnhilde. Come to think of it, that particular conundrum reminds me of… then again, nah.

A pearl of wisdom indeed, but… what are those trials and terrors he speaks of? Those silly bards and their cryptic writings. Lovely art style, though!
Sector 13 (@LifeInSector13)
Judging by its size and design, I’d say ‘destroyer’ is certainly a fitting name. Totally makes me wish I was piloting that Sentinel though, as it’d (potentially) let me take it on… and go down fighting! YEAH!
Children Of Morta (@ChildrenOfMorta)
Man, just looking at a screenshot of those two busy bees is enough to make me tired, stylish pixel art and all! Wonder what they’re making though?

Wrapping up this week’s Speculating Screenshots with something that’s bound to seem rather familiar to retrogamers. I mean, it looks great, but there’s that strange sense of familiarity, ya know?
