We’re almost at the end of another Pride Month, and you know what that means: Season of Pride! Much like last year, MidBoss is ready to celebrate diversity in gaming with a ton of LGBTQ+ streams and sales. But you already got all that from the title, so what say we dig a little deeper?
This time around, the month-long event will begin on July 9 with a Steam event, charity streams all throughout the month, and a Nintendo eShop sale “later in July”. So far, so good, right? Oh, definitely! To help spread the rainbow love during this fourth annual event, money for worthy charities – will be raised by streamers like… like… oh. Right. No schedule or any such details yet. Not even on the official website. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time though – patience, virtue, and so on.
“We are so grateful to host another Season of Pride to shine a spotlight on all the great LGBTQ+ games and content creators and to support the mission of some great causes,” said Cade Peterson, CEO of MidBoss.
Supported charities, however, have been revealed: The Trevor Project, Trans Lifeline, Minus 18, Mermaids UK, GaymerX, Black Girls Code, Women in Games International, and Girls Who Code. Also, while all the beans haven’t been spilt yet, a handful of streamers and games have been revealed: DEERE, JeffBrutlag, and UrbanBohemian will be playing games “featuring representation of queer characters, themes, and stories” in marathons across the three weekend that make up the event. Games? How about… Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers, Steven Universe: Unleash the Light and Sword of the Necromancer?
That only really leaves ‘where?’, right? Why, over on the MidBoss Twitch channel, of course!
Don’t forget to keep an eye on MidBoss (@MidBoss) and their upcoming 2064: Read Only Memories sequel, Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER. Demo? Steam and Epic Game Store.
Who’s ready for another groovy Season of Pride?
