It’s been quite a journey for pirate-adventurer Nelly Cootalot. A journey which kicked off way back in 2007, when… something something a fleet of birds in Spoonbeaks Ahoy!. But that was then, this is now, and in her latest outing, The Fowl Fleet, there’ll be more feathery fun. Oh, and Baron Widebeard’s schemes must be stopped! Cue dramatic pirate-y music.
So, birds. Not Angry Birds or For The Birds. Just birds. Birds that have been hypnotized by aforementioned Baron Widebeard, for reasons no doubt evil. “Cool”? Hardly, and in The Fowl Fleet, Nelly Cootalot is hot on this poor guy’s trail. Well, that and Treasure of the Seventh Sea, because pirates and booty.
Seriously though, pointing (likely courtesy of wit sharper than any blade) and clicking (with a mouse, most likely) awaits, with plenty of puzzles to solve and unique locales to explore. One of which I believe is in fact a frozen volcano. Eek. Rather groovy and slightly terrifying, really.
But not even a spine-chilling volcano shall stand in the way of a grand adventure! As such, I shall embark on this one post-haste, and you should consider doing so too. Trim sails, roam seas, maybe save some birds from a pirate with a wicked beard, ya know?
Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet is available from several places, including Steam and direct, carrying a $19.99 price tag.
