Moving can be a scary – at times, even risky – endeavour. There’s a lot to keep track of, and above all else, you’ll want to use a reputable company for all the heavy lifting (or all the lifting, period). Unless of course, you’re playing Moving Out, in which case, speed is the only thing that matters! Oh, but do watch out for traffic, saw blades and other hazards as you attempt to transport objects… well, over lava.
Given the sheer amount of shenanigans at play in Moving Out, from SMG Studio with the aid of DEVM-Games, I’m definitely glad that moving in real life is not like that of the game. One look at the trailer below will tell you what I mean: lava, saw blades, furniture carried through traffic and/or tossed out the window, conveyor belts and other craziness. All of that (and more) do make up what will hopefully be an absolute joy to play. And because it’s dangerous to go move alone, co-op!
“We’re creating a wacky, irreverent co-op experience that allows players to tackle problems how they see fit in a lighthearted sandbox. Expect a dash of dark humor also!”
–Ash Ringrose, founder, SMG Studio.
Think you’ve got what it takes to become a Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technician (yes, I know: F.A.R.T), eh? As it turns out, Smooth Move actually handles relocation of more than meagre stationary items, dealing with “unloading cargo off moving planes to smuggle giraffes out of the zoo and transporting goods to strange locales like haunted houses and outer space”, among other things.
Yeah. Welcome to the 21st century, where humans (and non-) move not only from one city and country to another, but entirely different planets too! No job is too big, no distance too great, no wall too… hard to… break… in the name of efficiency? Sure, let’s go with that!
Moving Out will be on PC and consoles, come Q2 2019.
