Adventure Game Studio. My favourite engine, second only to SCUMM. So, MAGS! Unlike most jams, which tend to last from 72 hours to a full week with no engine restriction, this one spans a month and requires participants to use, well, Adventure Game Studio! Now, who’s in the mood for game-making?
Halloween has come and gone, and with it, the month of October. So why not kick off November by getting a little competitive, creating a month for this month’s MAGS which features the theme of ‘Contest’? Just remember, as its host, Stupot, puts it: “it’s not the winning, it’s the taking part that counts”. But… do take part, eh? Would be nice if we could beat October’s impressive number of submissions, after all. Definitely would be.
But that’s MAGS November. Let’s look at the month prior now instead, which has no less than five entries! Very groovy.
Fearaphobia (Slasher)
It’s Halloween night and again you face your fear of fear…
When night-time draws in and light dissapears
you are left on your own to face your fears.
Things that go bump do give you a freight
hang on tight cause tonight is the night….
How quick can you curb your fear of fear or will you go running to mummy and daddy?
Moonlight Moggy (Pilchard)
Paul, an especially timid ginger tom, has vanished. It falls to his buddy Blixa to track him down. To do so, he’ll have to help out the garden’s various resident creatures and overcome his own phobia of plastic bags rustling in the wind.
The Frame on the Wall (Hortencya and Blondbraid)
An old woman ends up in a small cabin in the woods a stormy night, but is everything alright with the strange old painting hung on the wall?
Grizzly Goose of Gosse (Smarty)
It is the night before halloween..
As Angus, conquer your fear of the farmyard goose.
Just You and Me (Glenjamin)
A group of wildlife photographers find there’s a previously undiscovered animal lurking in the plains of south africa. Who will survive?
