Ain’t the first, not even the second, maybe the third or fourth… and hopefully, it won’t be the last either. The last Creators Day on itch.io, that is. A glorious day during which 100% of revenue will be going to, well, creators. Undeniably groovy stuff, and who knows – maybe something you’ve been eyeing will go on sale during this one, as it does coincide with Black Friday?
I really wish other digital stores would do this too, every so often. Imagine a full 24 hours during which the likes of Steam, GOG.com, Humble, or even Epic Game Store didn’t take a cut of sales. Probably not going to happen, ever, but one can dream.
So mark your calendars, add some projects to your collections for safekeeping, and get ready for 24 hours of supporting creators.
As far as participation goes, well, it’s entirely automated – no need for you to change anything. Unless you feel like discounting any of your items. Oh, and at this point, it’s pretty clear that Creators Day is going to be a recurring thing. Something I appreciate quite a bit, in spite of being a customer rather than a creator. So here’s to 24 hours of 100% revenue to creators, this Friday.
