Pancakes? Food for… indie games? Ah yes, cheap indie games, none of which are edible, sadly. In spite of that, I’m sure there’s something among the lot that’ll satisfy your gaming hunger. Promise me you won’t start munching on its contents though, as that’s definitely a rather unhealthy (not to mention unbecoming) habit.
So… six games, one mystery title, Steam and Desura keys across the board, and as always, price drops whenever someone pays more than the average. Christian Dubmood’s Machine (DATA030) album is the musical addition, which will be included by forking over at least $6 at the checkout counter. What other details could you possibly need?
Gentlemen! (Windows, Mac, Linux – Desura, Steam)
Gentlemen! is a frantically paced local multiplayer Victorian-themed duelling game. Go head-to-head with your frenemy in 19th Century England, settling your grievances with knives, bombs, deadly homing pigeons, and more. You’ll need to hone a delicate balance of technique, knowledge, cunning, and blind panic (just like a real duel!).
Survivor Squad (Windows, Mac, Linux – Desura, Steam)
Survivor Squad is a strategy action game where you control a squad of up to four survivors and guide them through a highly randomized world covering your corners and looking for supplies to aid you on your journey.
Eleusis (Windows – Desura, Steam)
Eleusis is a 3d first-person adventure game for Windows developed by Nocturnal Works. It takes place in a seemingly abandoned village in Greece where the player character, while trying to seek refuge, finds himself in the center of a whirlwind of mysterious events. As the plot unfolds he finds clues that indicate that the village is a nest of a cult which plans to revive a dark force through an ancient ritual and harness its power.
Gimbal (Windows – Desura, Steam)
Gimbal is the multiplayer shooter with buildable vehicles. Customize your weaponry, engines, and accessories, and then take to the skies against other pilots in real time.
Talisman: Prologue (Windows – Desura, Steam)
Talisman Prologue is an adaptation of the classic Fantasy board game Talisman by Games Workshop. This version focuses on single play structure. As the slogan says, this is where the Magical Quest begins. For those unfamiliar with this classic world of fantasy adventure, Talisman is a game like no other – indeed, it is no ordinary game but a fantastic quest in a world of magic and monsters. As you play, a story unfolds from turn to turn: a heroic epic of brave deeds, daring encounters, treasures and magic, of battles won and lost, but always a tale that enthralls!
Bad Hotel (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android – Desura, Steam)
Bad Hotel is an insane hybrid of a tower defense game and a procedural music toy, with beautiful art and tons of bullets. You are a budding entrepreneur, whose hotel is rather unfortunately located within the territory of Tarnation Tadstock, the Texas Tyrant. Your only defense against Tadstock’s army of seagulls, rats, yetis, and more is to build your hotel as quickly and intelligently as possible, using an array of increasingly sophisticated weapons.
Don’t forget that Indie Royale’s The Pancake Bundle will only be available for little less than seven days, so don’t wait too long; unless you enjoy paying full price for indie games, that is. Nothing wrong with that, but since a bundle has been made available and all – might as well, right?
