Hope you’re ready for more indie games to get the spotlight treatment on stream across not only multiple platforms, but also languages (English, Japanese, and Chinese). Because INDIE Live Expo Winter 2021 is happening, and as far as numbers go… well, ‘hundreds’ is what the email said, so we’re going with that for now. That’s a lot, by the way. Like, a crazy amount of indie games.
Like last month’s INDIE Live Expo 2021, INDIE Live Expo Winter 2021 will be focusing on new game reveals, studio spotlights, updates from previously released titles, and more good stuff. When? This winter. You know, when everyone’s freezing and longing for the weather they’re complaining about currently. But seriously, on November 6. Which is a Sunday, so I dare you to come up with a reason not to tune into the stream.
That’s not all either (I know, shocking), as with it, pre-registration for the INDIE Live Expo Awards has begun, with full registration opening later this summer. The deadline for that one is September 30 at 7:59 AM PDT, and any platform is eligible: PC, consoles, VR, mobile devices, and even retro systems like the MSX. Believe me, I’m as surprised as you to find the MSX mentioned here, although a quick search (thanks, Indie Retro News) reveals that independent developers are actually still making games for it. Somehow.
Adding to all that, how about a digital magazine in the form of the INDIE Live Expo Letter? Its goal is to help developers and publishers get the word out about their titles, and since it’s free, might as well.
So to summarize: INDIE Live Expo Winter 2021 on November 6, INDIE Live Expo Awards registration deadline on September 30, and INDIE Live Expo Letter… right now.
